Default Sell on Store - Extra Storage Windows

Fact: Currently, many people buy extra character slots just to have more storage space, even when they don't pretend to play that characters.

Problem: Even when we can have that extra storage on mule characters it is extremely annoying to swicht between characters just to take out your pumpkin head, or the right weapon (specially when your team is almost ready and they told you "hey come as protector instead")

Solution: Sell on the Online store "Extra Storage" windows.

The xunlai are always there on any city, town or outpost, now even on guild hall and also on pvp places.

If Anet doesn't want to give extra-storage for free, because this means more memory more server etc etc then they only need to request a proper amount.

If we do some math, currently we can have 20 + 5 + 10 + 10 = 45 spaces for $10 USD. An extra inventory window have 20 spaces so the correlated price would be $ 4.44 USD.
But characters also have many other things than uses memory (quests, revealed maps, armor, weapons, known skills, experience, etc etc)
and also you lose the capability to play it.

So I guest a price around $3 USD for An extra-storage window at xunlai would be quite fair and popular.
Also would be great a package of 4 extra-storage windows at $10 USD.

It would be wonderful also if we can name this extra-storage windows
like "warr weapons" "my armors" "mods" etc etc.

We really need more space, and i would to pay for it.

EDIT (Added info):

As I see the situation here, we have been requesting more storage/space since the beggining of the game and all we managed to get is the material storage, which is nice and great but does little to solve many users storage problems.

The main reason i don't want it free, is because it will still be very very limited. For example if we are very very lucky Anet add 5 or even 10 spaces to the current storage as super duper special gift.
5 or 10 spaces is fine but almost nothing for what many people (including me) need. I would buy at least 1 storage window for every one character (8) and at least 2 for my mains, I guess at least 10 or 12 window storages.

We must get realistic, Anet won't give much storage space without some income. By other hand, Read the Fact Many people is already buying extra storage (as character slots).

the suggestion is only requesting this storage to be more accesible. Fair and simple.

Even more, if this gets implemented Anet will have more resources and may be willing to include a free extra storage window on every expansion we buy.
Now everyone should get happy about this !!

More storage any way we can get it.

I know I would probably buy about four extra storage windows.

More storage with nameable tabs? Yup I like that idea. I'd buy 4 of the $10 packages (1 pkg for each account) in a heartbeat!

I can't stand messing around with extra accounts because I can't fit my junk on my actually 'played' accounts.

Why is the storage so much smaller than a character's inventory..

Backsack + Small bags + belt pouch > Big chest I can put my character in...?

I would love to see the storage double in size AND give ppl the option to buy extra space.

I dont believe they should charge you just for a little more storage. If anything it should be a bonus that comes with buying new chapters, just like the Factions material storage was. Or add another row of 5/10 slots to the storage per chapter you own or something, but not something you have to pay even more for. And Stemnin has a point. It doesnt make sense that a huge chest holds less than hand luggage. They could just increase the base size of storage to 60 or so.

Excellent Idea!!! But it should be another Xunlai Represtative Upgrade. Some storage buff. Maybe 5k per Box that is only for the character that buys it? Maybe with a limit of 2-3 boxes or so................

At the moment my Monk has 3 sets of armour and a stack of weapons. This idea will be brilliant!

You can request free storage all you want (i will never be against that), meanwhile, let me buy some storage to anet.

The main reason i don't want it free, is because it will still be very very limited. For example if we are very very lucky Anet add 5 or even 10 spaces to the current storage as super duper special gift.

I don't know why a character should pay more than 50 gold for their extra storage space. But definitely i don't want a limit of 2 or 3 boxes.

Sorry to shout, but I'm strongly against this. It's trouble enough getting a Tyrian to Kaineng just to buy the Materials upgrade, why should I have to pay real-world currency for that pain?

Because it's optional. Don't buy what you don't need.

I don't have storage problems *hintalwayspoorhint* but this idea seems to be ok. I personally would have waited for free storage upgrades upon new chapters, but I can see impatience running in this thread.

I think the point of actually buying storage space was to help fund anet. Obviously all the data takes up room and they have limits. They would need funds to expand those limits, which would enable us, the players, to have more options.

But hey, if I can get it free I'll take that too, lol.

As a rule I don't have a HUGE issue with the amount of space I have, but as I expand characters (and hang onto things to sell here on auctions) I find my storage getting alarmingly full. :/

Even though I have no intentions on buying extra storage, I support this feature. It allows the Anet to make a little more cash, while not giving the players who purchase this an unfair advantage, just allows them to hold more items and weapons.
I would also like to see free storage upgrades for every chapter you buy, giving an additional incentive to buy the game.

This has been discussed and suggested and in general supported so many times. Although the discussion goes from free to in game gold to real world gold or getting it for quest completion or whatever the op comes up with it really doesn't matter as the core suggestion is all the same.

Maybe there could be a sticky support thread for this idea to stop the need for so many threads asking for the same thing.

I don't see the problem with this at all.. as long as it doesn't affect game play (ex: skills, armor, whatever) and it makes other a little more happy and A.net gets a little more cash to help keep them going, then i'm all for it.

Yes i could imagine that, but i didn't find any idea on the stikyed list.

Storage upgrade should be free! Or at least come with a new chapter, giving another incentive to buy it.
The storage size currently is just pathetic and it has do be increased. It was too small back when GW started, and Anet always said they're working on or thinking about an upgrade. Since then we received a minor one but that doesn' fix the problem. But having us pay just to fix a major flaw in the game is gay.
As there's not much on what i can spend my gold on, I really want to have more than 1 or 2 armor sets for my characters (more like 5) but the problem is I can't have them cus it's impossible to store them. I know i can buy a character slot, but having to relog 4 times just to transfer my armor pieces between mules is just ridiculous. And there will be even more cool armor sets coming in Nightfall, but how a loyal customer who bought all 3 chapters can enjoy playing the game normally with such limitations? The hardcore traders and hoarders already buy plenty of extra slots but the normal players who already have 2 armor sets and want a new cool Nightfall one will have to salvage an old one... I will be getting 3 slots with Nightfall but they wont solve the problem at all.
Solution :: a 3rd tab in Xunlai chest, separate for each character, being a wardrobe for them - customized armor pieces and weapons. It would be very easy to implement and would bring close to no costs to Anet - server storage space is almost free nowadays, the only thing that matters is bandwidth - the reason why we won't see one huge storage soon, but separate tabs in storage aren't loaded every time at the moment you open the chest. Also keep in mind that a player having to relog multiple times just to move stuff between his mule characters generates much more bandwidth usage than opening a 3rd tab in the chest.

I dont know what kinda of size of data items take up... but regardless how, we should have a half screen sized storage for transfering. or STORING... having items on otehr characters, trying to remember items or anything else is indeed simply nuts.

It always made me wonder too, why the heck are chars bags/room bigger than storage? even after 2 extra characters - now being played like normaly ....all of them... EVERY CHAR has their 2 bags full of items on demand/armor/weapons/focus's etc. belt's all contain my kits for items.... and my backpack's are always the only room i have for anything new, even that gets too full too fast most of the time. and i have no room in storage for all of it.....

maybe we all suck at managing items, but not being able to xfer more items at a time... is plainly unacceptable.

I agree completely with the OP points but that is why also i wont support this out of principle that it should have been larger/sufficient in the first place and not hold player's character/account hostage unless we choose to pay for more storage.

maybe pay in game gold to get more storage space like with the mats tab [even if it is a ridiciously low amount]

having to pay real $$ for something that should have been included since day 1 is a joke.
